Ingread Fournier
Attorney, notary, mediator, and professor with over 25 years of experience, graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica. She holds a strong academic background with three master’s degrees in Human Rights, Notarial and Corporate Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution, completed at institutions such as the United Nations University for Peace, the National University of Costa Rica, and Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Spain.
This foundation has been key to building a career focused on offering humane, effective, and up-to-date solutions in legal practice. She has worked in both the public and private sectors, collaborating with the United Nations system, the Judiciary, and civil society.
She is a founding partner of Bufete Alternativo and the BA-RAC Center, authorized by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Justice and Peace for mediation processes with the character of final judgment (res judicata). She has also been part of the Board of Directors of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Center of the Costa Rican Bar Association (CAM), and has been a university professor for over 14 years, teaching Alternative Dispute Resolution at Universidad La Salle. She has published articles in international journals, including a recent 2023 collaboration for the Madrid municipality on comparative legislation applied to artificial intelligence. Her professional practice combines ethics, empathy, and innovation, integrating new tools such as artificial intelligence, female leadership, and data analysis following her updated career training at INCAE.
Outside the legal field, Ingread finds inspiration in nature, her interspecies family, the surrounding wildlife, and her family business, Caballeriza Pacacua. A yoga and meditation enthusiast, she is certified as a meditation coach and interspecies communicator, which strengthens her sensitivity in communication and professional support processes. She has successfully merged her professional world with her personal philosophy. She deeply believes in the power of dialogue and active listening—pillars that guide her daily practice under Bufete Alternativo’s principle: Solutions in Harmony.
